Former FCC officials want to force a vote on the ‘weapon’ Brendan Carr has invoked against broadcasters

A bipartisan group of former Federal Communications Commissioners and staffers has asked a federal appeals court to mandate a vote on the FCC's News Distortion Policy, seeking its repeal after arguing that Republican Chair Brendan Carr misused the rule to pressure ABC into temporarily suspending comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
