Now California’s cops can give tickets to driverless cars

Starting July 1st, new regulations from the California DMV will allow law enforcement to issue a "notice of AV noncompliance" to manufacturers when their driverless vehicles commit traffic violations like running red lights. This change follows years of viral traffic violations and multiple safety investigations involving robotaxis and aims to address accountability for autonomous vehicle infractions.
